The Amazing Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Oscorp scientist and businessman Richard Parker records a video message to explain the reason for his disappearance. Mary and his wife and he set out to flee on a private plane that is hijacked. The couple is killed when their plane crashes.
Two years ago Dr. Curt Connors and Mary’s son Peter continue to fight criminals as Spider-Man. Because of Peter’s concerns regarding his relationship with his partner Gwen Stacy following making a promise to her father’s death to not touch Gwen, Gwen ends their relationship when they graduate from high school. Peter’s friend from childhood, Harry Osborn is back in Manhattan to visit his dying father Norman, CEO of Oscorp. Harry is the very first person to be diagnosed with the disease. Norman dies, and Harry becomes the new CEO.
While working in an Oscorp laboratory an electrical engineer Max Dillon shocks himself accidentally and plunges into a tank of genetically engineered electric eels. They attack him, and transform into an electrical generator. While they are at it, Gwen tells Peter that she might relocate to England when she receives a scholarship to Oxford University. Unaware of the magnitude of his power, Dillon wanders into Times Square, accidentally leading to a blackout. He is prevented from doing so by Spider-Man. Dillon is taken to the Ravencroft Institute where he is supervised by Dr. Ashley Kafka, a German scientist.
Harry is beginning to show signs of illness. He is using the information Norman has given him to decide that Spider-Man’s blood may aid him. He asks Peter who is selling pictures of Spider-Man to the Daily Bugle for a while, to assist him in locating Spider-Man. Peter isn’t sure about the effects of the transfusion as well as the likelihood that Harry could develop an identical mutation to Dr. Connors. Harry is furious when he refuses to be Spider-Man. Donald Menken, Oscorp vice president, frames Harry for trying to cover up Dillon’s mistake. Then, he removes him from his position as CEO and takes over the control of Oscorp. Harry proposes to negotiate an arrangement with Dillon (now known as “Electro”) to be able to gain entry into the Oscorp building. Electro agrees and kills the doctor. Kafka.
After returning to Oscorp, Harry finds the venom of the now destroyed mutant spiders. However, after he forces Menken to inject his body with the poison, it speeds up his disease and turns him into the form of a goblin-like creature, but the built-in emergency protocol within a suit of armor helps to restore his health. Peter discovers his father’s hidden laboratory in an abandoned subway station. He learns that Norman was planning to develop biogenetic weapons through his research , and he was forced to flee. Peter finds out that Gwen has been awarded the Oxford scholarship. Peter declares his love for her, and they both agree to go to England together.
Gwen and Spider-Man restore power to Electro after Electro causes a second blackout. This overloads Electro’s body and ends his life. Harry who is portrayed as Green Goblin is able to arrive with Norman’s weapons. After seeing Gwen, he deduces Spider-Man’s secret identity and, swearing revenge for being refused the blood transfusion takes her up to the peak of a clock tower. Spider-Man slays Green Goblin but Gwen dies, despite his attempts to save her. Depressed and guilt-ridden, Peter ends his career as Spider-Man.
Five months later, Harry is coping with the consequences of his transformation while being in prison at Ravencroft. His partner, Gustav Fiers is visiting him, and they discuss the possibility of forming their own team. Harry is able to command Fiers to begin with Sytsevich and to free him from his prison. Sytsevich is fitted with an electromechanical armor suit and runs wild through the streets. Peter is inspired by Gwen’s graduation speech, confronts him as Spider-Man.
